Adamax
research guide

Adamax is marketed as a derivative related to the Semax family of ACTH(4-10)-based peptides, but a dedicated search of the literature reviewed did not return any paper specifically naming or testing Adamax. What can be said comes from the broader ACTH(4-10) analogue research tradition that produced Semax and related compounds like ACTH(6-9)PGP, which is related, not direct, evidence for Adamax itself.

01 · Start with identity

What is Adamax?

Adamax is sold as a distinct marketed peptide product name, described as related to Semax, but the sources reviewed contained no study identifying Adamax by that name, its exact sequence relationship to Semax, or independent research on it. Readers should not assume Adamax shares Semax's studied effects without a structural and study-level confirmation not available in this review.

Also searched as: Marketed Semax-related derivative; distinct from Semax

02 · Read the evidence

What the studies reported

01

Related family: ACTH(4-10)-based analogues studied in rats, not Adamax itself

Research on the ACTH(4-10) analogue family that includes Semax and the related derivative ACTH(6-9)PGP found effects on hippocampal gene expression and reduced antistress behavioral measures in rats after acute restraint stress, at a described animal dose of 100 micrograms per kilogram; this is evidence for named related compounds, not for Adamax specifically. [1]

02

Related family: one human brain-imaging study of Semax and Selank, not Adamax

A functional connectomic study examined effects of Semax and Selank, not Adamax, on whole-brain resting-state functional connectivity in 52 healthy participants; no Adamax-specific human imaging or outcome study was located. [2]

03

Unregulated peptide marketplace context

A 2026 narrative review on unregulated peptide use in biohacking describes how novel or lightly evidenced peptide products, including analogues and derivatives of studied compounds, are increasingly marketed online with claims that outpace the underlying evidence base, a pattern directly relevant to evaluating any Adamax-specific marketing claims. [3]

03 · Numbers in context

What does dosing evidence actually support?

No study specifically evaluating Adamax dosing, safety, or efficacy in humans or animals was located in the sources reviewed. Any dosing information attached to Adamax in commercial materials could not be traced to a verifiable primary study in this review, so no dosing evidence, direct or related, can be responsibly summarized beyond noting its marketed relationship to the Semax family.

A study dose is not a personal dose. Population, route, formulation and supervision are part of the result. Online community schedules are not treated here as established clinical protocols.

04 · Safety and limits

What not to overlook

  • No direct peer-reviewed study of Adamax was found in the sources reviewed; treat any efficacy or safety claim about it as unverified by this review.
  • Adamax should be treated as a distinct, separately marketed product from Semax, not assumed to share Semax's studied research findings.
  • The unregulated peptide marketplace has been flagged in review literature as prone to marketing claims that outpace study evidence.
  • Absence of a study in the databases searched here reflects the scope of this review, not a comprehensive claim that no research exists anywhere.

05 · Product distinctions

Names are not interchangeable

Sold as a lyophilized peptide powder in single-compound vials and a nasal spray format, marketed as related to Semax. No independently verified sequence comparison, purity data, or blend information distinguishing Adamax from Semax was available in the sources reviewed, so formulation-level equivalence should not be assumed.

06 · Handling and storage

Follow validated product instructions

A single water volume, refrigerator temperature or expiry window cannot be assumed for every compound and formulation. Use the exact manufacturer documentation and a validated laboratory procedure. If stability, solvent compatibility or microbiological quality is not documented, those properties remain unverified.

Refrigeration, clear appearance and bacteriostatic water do not make an unverified research product suitable for injection. This guide does not provide a mixing or administration procedure.

The existing concentration calculator checks arithmetic only. It cannot choose a safe dose or establish compatibility, sterility or shelf life.

Questions still worth asking

What remains unresolved?

  • What is Adamax's exact chemical relationship to Semax, and has this been characterized in any peer-reviewed publication not surfaced in this review?
  • If Adamax is structurally close to Semax or ACTH(6-9)PGP, would it be expected to share their studied neurologic effects, and has this been tested directly?
